It’s a date for Saturday, July 12, at 6:00 a.m. at Passo San Pellegrino with Dawn on Col Margherita: a particularly evocative event that will take place as the first rays of sunlight come up over the mountains, accompanied by musical notes and breath-taking views.
Art and nature come together at an altitude of 2560 metres, in a spectacle that is truly unique of its kind. It’s an alchemy of sound and colour that sees the Col Margherita transform into a veritable theatre for the music performed by “I Corni della Scala”, a group founded in 2008 within the Orchestra of the Scala Theatre – Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, famous for their vast repertoire, which goes from the baroque to the classic, from soundtracks to South America.
After the concert there is the possibility of taking a hike with Alpine Guides in the direction of Lago Cavia and Cima de Gargol, a two and a half hour walk with 600 metres of altitude change. Info: Tel. +39 0462 565038.
How to get to the Col Margherita: from Passo San Pellegrino with the Col Margherita funicular lift open for the occasion from 4:00 to 6:00 a.m. Return ticket for the lift costs € 8.00 per person.
