#Freeridesocialmeeting: focus on photography and social media Wed, 09 Sep 2015 10:37:11 +0000 The weekend of the 11th -12th -13th September will be the last one in the summer of 2015 where lift facilities will be operating to take visitors to the summit at Passo San Pellegrino, a wide alpine pass located among the Val di Fassa Dolomites.

Mira4tourism, the company that manages the Hotel Monzoni, has created a very special event for the occasion, called #freeridesocialmeeting: three days in the company of expert photographers and social influencers during which tourists and enthusiasts will be able to further their knowledge of the world of photography as well as participate in various photographic sessions as both actors and amateur photographers.

The active shots will definitely be the most fun because, even though winter is still a ways off, subjects will be photographed doing typical snow sports like skiing and snowshoeing. Special guest stars will be the Specialized brand Fatboy Trail, special bikes with wide tyres that make it possible to float on the snow.

The program has been developed with the participation of Mattia Bonavida, social collaborator for Nikon Italia. One of his pictures was selected for a photographic exhibit held at the Louvre in Paris in July 2015.

The new Falcade-Le Buse cabin lift on display at Passo San Pellegrino Mon, 31 Aug 2015 11:52:54 +0000 In early December the San Pellegrino ski area will welcome the new Falcade-Le Buse cabin lift, which sets off from the district of Molino (1199 m asl) to take skiers to the summit (1883 m asl) in just 6 minutes, so they can more rapidly access the slopes in Falcade and Passo San Pellegrino. The lift will feature 8-person cabins and will cover a length of 1890 m, with an altitude difference of about 684 m and an average incline of 39.4%.

If you missed the promotional road tour which touched down in the major beach resorts of the Triveneto, from Chioggia to Lignano, just climb to the top of Passo San Pellegrino to get a live look at the prototype for one of the cabins. You can get on as if you already had skis on your feet, sit and admire the scenery and perhaps even take a souvenir photo #cabinoviaFalcade.

The cabin lift being built in the San Pellegrino ski area will be one of the best new features of the Dolomiti Superski 2015/2016 winter season.
