Passo San Pellegrino is an oasis of peace for families wishing to spend a holiday relaxing in nature. All the hotels here stand out for their friendly family atmosphere and are organized to best welcome even the youngest of guests, offering all the comforts of home.
The territory is dotted with ample fields to play on, and there is a complex web of paths and trails that offer easy hikes and excursions suitable for everyone. Meanwhile, the malga San Pellegrino dairy farm offers the chance to meet mountain pasture animals and try the experience of milking a cow.
More curious explorers can take the cable car lift up to Col Margherita for a fun time in the Col Margherita Park, the new themed trail that leads to the discovery of the Dolomites. Developed in association with the MUSE museum in Trento, the park includes three different installations and two scenic terraces equipped with benches, telescopes and informative panels describing the surrounding peaks and their geological makeup.
On the Col Margherita there is also a small play park where children can enjoy themselves while their parents take in a marvellous 360° view of the Dolomites, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage.
Walk around San Pellegrino Lake: park in front of the ancient little church in Passo San Pellegrino and it only takes a few minutes to get to the lake, walking along a little path that winds between myrtle and blueberry bushes. You can walk around the entire lake in about 30 minutes and between one little bridge and another along its banks there are also some tables and benches. Not far from lago San Pellegrino there is the namesake Malga San Pellegrino dairy farm, not to be missed for trying excellent typical specialties from Trento.
Conca di Fuciade: from the little church in Passo di San Pellegrino head towards Falcade for a few dozen metres then turn left on the road that goes to Albergo Miralago, which is also accessible by car. After passing lago delle Pozze you continue along the convenient and almost flat forest road (marked segnavia n° 607, Alta Via n° 2) which is about a 45 minute walk to the lovely basin called conca di Fuciade, with green fields and typical little wooden cabins.
