San Pellegrino ski area at the Vittorio Veneto Film Festival

The San Pellegrino ski area is the official partner for the sixth edition of the Vittorio Veneto Film Festival – an International Cinema Festival for youngsters taking place until the 18th of April in Vittorio Veneto (TV).

The mountains provide an exciting location with spectacular scenery, and now they are trying to attract young people in an entirely new context by going beyond the usual activities tied to tourism and sports. More than 1500 children and teens from Italy and beyond will come here to share in four intense days dedicated to the language of cinematography and audio-visual arts.

“Children are our future, and we always try to cater to their interests. We are proud to support the Vittorio Veneto Film Festival” says Renzo Minella, Head of Marketing for the San Pellegrino Ski Area. “Our ski resort is a little more than an hour’s journey from the Veneto plain, so this is an important chance to promote what we have to offer by interacting with lots of young fans of cinema and the arts.”

During the festival the San Pellegrino ski area will play a starring role in the special initiative called “La montagna è…”. Children and teenagers are invited to write a short sentence on a postcard that expresses their desire to experience the mountains. On the evening of Saturday, April 18th, all the postcards will be part of a drawing to win a fantastic weekend for 4 people in the Dolomites between Passo San Pellegrino and Falcade. Also, there will be a gala dinner to wrap up the Vittorio Veneto Film Festival at Palazzo Piazzoni. The evening will be a veritable journey through the culinary traditions of the Agordino, with a rich local menu prepared by the Associazione Albergatori Falcade (Falcade Hoteliers’ Association) in association with students from the Istituto Alberghiero Hotel Institute.

The Vittorio Veneto Film Festival will also mark the first official journey of the new Falcade cabin lift, which will substitute the quad chairlift between Molino and Le Buse starting next winter for the 2015/2016 season. In fact, starting Friday, April 19th, a replica model of a cabin lift will be on display outside the Teatro da Ponte Theatre in Vittorio Veneto.
