Everything has changed in the San Pellegrino Ski Area. The abundant snowfall over the last several days has dumped 50 centimetres of fresh snow here, and the scenery has finally taken on the semblance of a classic winter wonderland. You can ski on slopes that are always pristine and marvel at the splendid snowy landscape to be found here.
A good time will also be guaranteed at Passo San Pellegrino this weekend with the Vertical Winter Tour. On Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th of February, thirty famous athletes will challenge each other in enthralling slope-style flips and spins on the spectacular equipment in the SanPe Snowpark, which is located in a sunny, wind- protected area near the Campigol chairlift.
The San Pellegrino Ski Area snow park has been completely renovated with three new lines, and it is fast becoming a favourite among freestyle and slope-style fans. The Easy line, on the left, is suited to anyone, especially if you want to begin learning the first types of structures involved. The M and L lines are located in the centre, covering 5 terraces, and are designed for more experienced riders with jumps, rails and other structures of varying shapes and sizes. The entire park has been designed so that each and every rider can have a great time in complete safety. Everyone particularly enjoys the Big Air Bag, an enormous air mattress that’s 15 metres long and provides a guaranteed soft, safe landing, perfect for practicing jumps and acrobatics.
Furthermore, on both Saturday and Sunday, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Gigante chairlift there will be a great party called Vertical Winter Village, featuring music, entertainment, games, gadgets, tastings of local fare, free tests of the NIKON Action Camera, and free test rides of ski & snowboard equipment by ELAN and NITRO. You can also test drive the SUZUKI 4×4 ALLGRIP until 8:00 p.m.
