Happy Cheese on the Snow: high altituted gourmet events

It sure took its sweet time getting here, but now snow has finally come to the San Pellegrino Ski Area. Over 40 cm has fallen on the summit, covering everything in a fluffy white mantle. So now the winter season can shift into full swing, with even nicer slopes, breath-taking scenery and plenty of events for mountain lovers of all ages.

We’ll kick things off with Happy Cheese on the Snow, the tastiest gourmet ski week in the Dolomites, which will touch down in the San Pellegrino Ski Area with two events that are absolutely not to be missed. There will be lots of special gourmet cocktails and themed dishes based on famous local cheeses (Puzzone di Moena Dop and Cher de Fascia), served “naturale” or more often creatively re-elaborated and served with the prestigious Ferrari Trentodoc bubbly. There will also be great live music.

Enjoy an amazing summit cocktail based on famous local cheeses (Puzzone di Moena Dop and Cher de Fascia), served “naturale” or creatively re-elaborated and served with the prestigious Ferrari Trentodoc bubbly, along with great live music. It’s a special occasion to admire the awesome spectacle of a Dolomite sunset from a privileged position: the Om Picol, at an altitude of 2483 metres. Rendezvous at 5:00 p.m., skis on, at the bottom of Gigante chairlift, next to the little old church in Passo San Pellegrino.

Afterwards, those who wish to do so can ski back down to the valley accompanied by ski instructors.

20 February, 2016 – Baita Paradiso

This charming lodge is right on the slopes and features a scenic terrace. From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. guests will be tempted with typical Trentino specialties and local cheeses (Puzzone di Moena Dop and Cher de Fascia). There will also be pizza, in its classic version, or reworked as a focaccia or stuffed bread. It can even be considered starred, thanks to an extraordinary special guest: Chef Renato Bosco from Saporé, who has won over the most famous food critics with exceptional crunch and double crunch crusts. The event will be rendered even more fun with great live music and toasts of Ferrari Trentodoc bubbly.
