Starting in the 2016/2017 winter season, the choice of skiing options at the San Pellegrino Ski Area will become even richer, with the opening of the new run called La Volata. This black slope offers pure adrenaline as it plunges down from the Col Margherita towards Passo San Pellegrino in a continuous succession of spine tingling walls with gradients of almost 50%, for a total length of 2350 m and an altitude change of 600 m.
This run offers expert skiers an alternative to the Col Margherita and Le Caviette slopes, which are both red and about 3 km long, yet quite different from one another when it comes to the lay of the land. The first is made up of wide curves and several changes in level, with two very steep stretches, while the second is easier and suitable to everyone.
Therefore, the Col Margherita cable car lift will serve three slopes, as well as provide a connection between Passo San Pellegrino and Falcade with skis on foot, and access to the controlled Freeride area on the North Face of the Col Margherita.
