Everything’s all set to welcome skiers to the Passo San Pellegrino-Falcade ski area. After the first taste of white last weekend, as of Friday, December 6th, the 2013/2014 season will get seriously underway on the slopes of the Passo San Pellegrino-Falcade ski area. In fact, starting Friday all runs and all lifts will be open.
The runs in the Passo San Pellegrino-Falcade ski area are an integral part of the Trevalli resort, with more than 100 km of slopes that are kissed by the sun and maintained perfectly snowy. All of this is part of Dolomiti Superski, the largest and most popular skiing carousel in the world, comprising 12 ski resorts and covering more than 1220 km of runs.
“Thanks to the snow that fell over these last few weeks and the support of the programmed snow cannons which have been operating at full capacity with the low temperatures of these last couple of days, we were able to perfectly prepare all the slopes,” explains the Manager of the ski area Renzo Minella. “Last weekend was the perfect test trial; our staff did a fantastic job and now we’re ready to seriously get underway with the complete opening for the weekend of December the 8th, as we confidently look forward to the Christmas holidays.”
The winter season at the Passo San Pellegrino is already getting into full swing in early December.
“Here at Passo San Pellegrino we are already organizing a very important international sports and a media event like the Universiadi games,” continues Minella. “In fact, the slopes of the Passo will be hosting the speed race, the downhill free race and the Super G, which are scheduled on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of December. There will be top athletes here from more than 40 countries all over the world. Just one more reason to get the slopes in the best conditions as soon as possible.”
