Passo San Pellegrino is rich in shelters, lodges and restaurants ...

Places where, after a long, hard ski you can take a break and recharge while trying dishes that are typical of the local mountain tradition and Ladino recipes. Skiing has never been so delicious!

There are plenty of dishes to try! First courses: flat homemade pasta with mushrooms, canederli, strozza preti and spatzle. Second courses: grilled meat, goulash, venison and mountain goat with polenta. And finally, sweets: strudel with vanilla sauce, linzer cake, typical biscuits, whipped cream and mountain dairy yoghurt with warm forest fruits.

A gastronomic circuit called “I Ristoranti del Cuore” awaits the most romantic couples. Alongside classic recipes and refined menus for the most elegant dinners, couples can in fact try the “Piatto dell'Amore” (Love Dish), that changes based on the different season. Another experience to make food-wise is the “Strada dei Formaggi” (Cheese Route), a peculiar itinerary studied to promote cheeses produced in shepherd's huts, that have been recently included in the Slow Food group products. The “Cheese Route” takes tourists through various shepherd's huts as well as dairy companies that are located on the most beautiful Dolomite peaks. The route allows for the discovery of ancient, genuine, traditional flavors, that tell the story and illustrate the culture of this area. It is possible to buy dairy products as well as taste traditional cheese recipes made with local cheeses such as the Fodom, Renaz, Contrin, Zigher, Val Biois, Schiz and Puina.
