Thrill seekers looking for fresh snow will find a brand new attraction at Passo San Pellegrino: the Col Margherita Freeride Experience, a veritable paradise for skiers wishing to enjoy an off piste experience in complete safety.
The area is shared among the province of Trento, the community of Moena, the Moena police academy, Alpine rescue and the Lift Company and is equipped with appropriate signs, ARTVA approved gates, qualified staff who can signal avalanche risks, inadequate snow conditions or poor visibility; anything that might interfere with an enjoyable descent or timely rescue operations managed in collaboration with the State Police and Alpine Rescue.
It's easy to get here! The starting point for the Col Margherita Freeride Experience is easily accessible with the fast Col Margherita cable lift. There are two rest stops: the Husky Bar at the top and Diametro 64 at the bottom of the lift facilities. Here friendly staff is happy to welcome skiers who want to stop for a nice break between runs.
