Today at 5:30 in the morning more than 500 people were carried away on the harp notes played by Antonella Bergamin and Chiara Gasparotto, who transformed the Col Margherita into a veritable natural stage.
The exceptional event, organised by the Passo San Pellegrino-Falcade ski area, also hosted a speech by geologist Claudio Valle, who entertained the ample audience after the concert with a fairytale - infused presentation on the origins of the splendid Dolomite peaks that surround Passo San Pellegrino and Col Margherita.
“This morning we breathed a magical atmosphere - explained the area’s Marketing Director Renzo Minella - thanks in part to the incredible number of people who chose to live this one- of- a-kind experience. After the concert last August 11th, there was tremendous word of mouth among mountain lovers that brought more than 500 people to the altitude of 2540 metres on Col Margherita. It was a diversified crowd, made up of music aficionados but also mountain lovers of all ages, who were thus able to witness the rising of the sun from a place that’s unique in the world, to the sounds of magical music. It was a truly positive experience which we’ll definitely repeat next year, too, trying to add components that will further improve an event that marries the noble art of music with unique natural elements like the dawn and the Dolomite scenery.”
