Panoramic Balconies: nature’s spectacle
Appearances count too. And in every corner of Passo San Pellegrino, the one thing that is never missing is a spectacular panorama. And, without a doubt, the peak of Col Margherita (2514 m) is the most beautiful and suggestive observation point where you can admire all of the Dolomites Unesco World Heritage Site with a breathtaking 360° view. On Col Margherita there are two interesting “panoramic balconies” equipped with benches and information panels on the surrounding peaks and their geological description.
The first one looks northwards to the San Pellegrino valley, joining the Latemar Group to the Marmolada in a sort of virtual embrace, while the other one faces south towards Pale di San Martino, allowing the gaze to range from Marmolada to the Catena del Lagorai.
The panoramic balconies are easily reached thanks to the convenient and quick Col Margherita lift.
